Foothills Family Medical Centre

I had occasion to visit the Emergency centre at Oilfields Hospital last with a hand wound. I saw a Doctor immediately, hand my hand x-rayed, the wound cleaned, stitched and repaired in less time than would have been required to see a triage nurse at any of the Calgary hospitals. We are so fortunate to have facilities and competent medical staff availble in our rural area.

Mainstream media and advertising Immersion Experience

The doctors are fine. The waiting room has a big television it with taregeted Advertising for vulnerable people in 'Authority Obedience mode' i.'e. waiting to see a doctor. The then staff try to drown out the TV with radio. It's a full spectrum media immersion experience. I have to wait in the car for my appointment. Send my blood pressure up.
