Get dressed wast established in 2002 as a specialty women's boutique clothing store delivering a West Coast casual but current style. Since then, our reputation has spread well beyond the North Shore as a destination shop providing fabulous clothes and exceptional service. Many stores can carry the same line, but the buying within those lines is what distinguishes a great store from an average one. Our founder and owner, Erica Hughes, buys every line personally and the results speak for themselves. From sandwich to Esprit, Mexx to Tribal in sizes 2 to 14, our clients are consistently delighted with experience at get dressed.more...See more text
Erica Hughes, founder and owner of North Vancouver's Get Dressed, comes by her innate fashion sense and casual yet current sensibility honestly; essentially, it's in her genes. Growing up, her mother worked in the Eaton’s fashion office, always impeccably dressed in Mr. Jax suits and patent leather shoes, she recalls. Her sister, a hairdresser, was the inspiration behind a young Erica's ever-changing hairstyles. Both were defining influences that sharpened her keen eye for trending styles.
Without any formal fashion education, albeit a business degree under her belt, Erica built the Get Dressed brand with collections that bespeak comfort and understated sophistication. In 2001, together with her sister, they opened at Parkgate, a destination shop with a community-focused demographic; Deep Cove is literally the end of the road on the North Shore and was the launchpad that would see the boutique spawn a second location at Westview Centre.
The best part about the s store is the sales women . They are wonderful. Alyssa and Rhonda will help find something that suits you and will always make you feel good about your choices. They can always be trusted to give you an honest opinion. The clothes are lovely and gave good price points. The bonus is that you won’t see your clothes on everyone you meet!
