My favourite Italian restaurant in the city! Perfect for a date night
A very unwelcoming experience. Not a very happy place . Hostess was very unwelcoming and staff didn't seem happy or considerate. Appalled about the way I was told to sign a waiver as I brought in a birthday cake. Also i was told there would be a $3 charge per person . Cost was not an issue but the nickel and dime attitude was rude. Also a staff member entered elevator busy texting and I was the person to push the button . Just seemed very rude the way the staff member behaved in front of a guest
The Tarta Fragola was exceptional and the Zeppole was a nice light chocolate pleasure. Unfortunately my main course of Garganelli Pollo and the side of roasted Brussels sprouts was a disappointing start. Especially at the cost of 15 sprouts for $8. The roasting process was WAY beyond intense as they were burnt to a black crisp. The chicken was tasty but the pasta was not thoroughly cooked so I took it home to re-cook myself for tomorrow. Good luck with your meal. Our server was very welcoming.
One of my absolute favourites and they do it well! I strongly recommend trying it.

Part of Vancouver’s ubiquitous Glowbal restaurant group, Trattoria has all the makings of a homey neighbourhood gathering spot: the room is loud and lively, servers are friendly and accommodating, and the rustic Italian pastas are deliciously comforting on a cold winter’s day. The cuisine here is a little more elevated than your average cheap-and-cheerful family fare, but it’s definitely worth the extra cost. The $30 Dine Out dinner menu is bursting with sumptuous Mediterranean flavours: think mussels, clams and ling cod picatta.

So much so, the restaurant even hosts its own annual meatball-eating contest. The prize? A year's worth of spaghetti and meatballs of course! A family-friendly spot, this Kitsilano dining room offers free kids' meals with adult entrees on Monday nights.
