Iris Kirby House is a shelter for women, with or without children, who are experiencing relationship abuse.Iris Kirby House, a 22 bed facility, was originally established in 1981 as Newfoundland's first transition house; following this, in the fall of 2010, O'Shaughnessy House, a 15 bed facility, was opened.
