Rhythmic Gymnastics is an Olympic sport that combines ballet, dance and acrobatics. Athletes use expressive movement and apparatus manipulation. Apparatus used are ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon and rope. Rhythmic Gymnastics is perfectly balanced for developing flexibility and strength, as well as hand and body coordination. It is one of the most beautiful Olympic sports. It uses the dynamics and flexibility of gymnastics, technical knowledge of ballet and the self-expression and rhythm of modern dance. Rhythmic gymnastics differs from other gymnastic disciplines in many ways: floor used is slightly cushioned and not a sprung one, no dangerous equipment is used for training or performance.
