Independently owned and operated since 1932, I.D.A. pharmacies are run by local pharmacists who pride themselves on keeping their communities healthy through personalized care.
What a day! After getting Joey into the car (after surgery), we drive to the Clinic Pharmacy in Bowmanville to pick up his pain meds! I took in his ID and explained to the lady that he was in a lot of pain and if they want to make sure it is him that they would have to send some one out to the car. She says, "Do you want us to deliver this to you?" I told her that would be awesome, but he needs his medication before 430, so I asked if they could they get it to me by 4 PM? She reassured me that they could and I drove Joey home. At 445 Nolan came down and explained that joey was in a lot of pain. I called the pharmacy and they said that THEY DO NOT DELIVER TO NEWCASTLE ON WEDNESDAYS! The woman said..."Sorry for the misunderstanding! "THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING....I UNDERSTOOD PERFECTLY WHAT I WAS TOLD! I drove like a crazy woman there only to have the owner tell me that the meds were mixed up and they had to call the doctor and that the lady said I WAS MISTAKEN BY WHAT I HEARD? I was trying to remain calm at that point but that was the WRONG THING TO SAY TO A MOTHER WHO HAS A KID AT HOME IN SEVERE PAIN! I not only told him that he better ask her again (TO WHICH HE TOLD ME NOT TO TELL HIM WHAT HIS STAFF SAID), I let them all know that I certainly hoped that they never have to go through watching Their own kid suffer like I had for the past hour!
