My experience went like this:
Called and said my pool pump was working fine, but running loud, did they do maintenance, to which they said yes.
I dropped by and asked how long the turn around was and cost was. They said one day and about $120 as they suspected bearing and seals, but they would call if it was something different.
No call the next day, showed up to pick up the pump, and they said it would take a few days and they were behind.
Got a call the next day, they said the pump needed a bunch of work and I would be better off buying a new pump. I said I'd come by and pick up the pump after work.
Showed up. They told me it was a $20 dollar charge to do the estimate(not previously identifed, but since they'd looked at it, I figured it was fair) and I wanted to pick up the pump. As I said, it worked, but it was loud. I figured I'd run it to failure.
After collecting my money, they brought the pump out in pieces in a box. Pump is now completely useless. I had to buy a new pump.
Needless to say, not from them. The same pump they offered to sell me, I picked up elsewhere in town for over $100 less.
Not recommended.
Had the pleasure of having work done by Dave. Couldnt
ask for a more helpful and professional expert. Had a pump installed with no problems. Spring comes around and had a small leak from ground water. Called Dave and he was over within the hour to seal the leak which was not caused by the pump installation. Amazing customer service and I would not
hesitate to recommend them for any pump related sales/service. Thanks again World of Pumps and Dave.
