Pre-game dinner and beers before heading to the hockey game. Food was quite below average (dry/overcooked, rather flavourless meat in the burger, soggy fries)... however the great beer selection, good service, and fantastic atmosphere made up for it a bit. Instead of chairs at the tables, they have really comfy easy chairs which was pretty cool.
Nice touch coming in the door... there was a Leafs jersey duct-taped to the floor for us to wipe the snow off of our boots. Amazing how much grit that jersey can take off your shoes ;)
The food is fantastic! The cesear salad is so good, probably the best Ive ever had. The firecracker chicken wraps are to die for. After dinner we went outside for a smoke, and when we returned our table had been cleared so the waitress apologized, gave us a new table and new drinks. The people who work there are so friendly, I will definitely be back.
I order the Thai Chicken Salad which states that it comes with a Thai PEANUT dressing ... but what I got was a Chicken Salad with curry dressing -- ? That wasn't the worst part, the waitress and manager were very defensive insisting that it was the right dressing - although neither of them had tried it. I have had this salad here before and it definitely wasn't the same dressing. Since when is curry present in a peanut based dressing? uh, try never! I would never go back to this dive on account of bad service.
Been there many times and the service and food has always been great.
One time the owner came over to talk to us. A nice touch since it meant he was hands on and concerned about quality.
