Great for drinks

I was very impressed with the selection of teas and coffee. However I went for a hot breakfast and would not reccommend it. Fine for pasteries, but not great for eggs and bacon (was microwaved).

Good food, nice decor and a pretty reasonable price. Kava is not your average "coffee shop". It's a little artsy and the food is much more adventurous then bagels and doughnuts which I don't think they sell. I eat lunch and breakfast at kava regularly and enjoy trying their weekly specials. Hands down, the best coffee shop in downtown kitchener.

Super spot and great food

We were pleasantly surprised at finding Kava Bean Commons, it came reccomended by a friend who works downtown. You order at the counter and get your own coffee but then the staff takes care of you, bringing your food and any extras you might need. We were impressed by the staff's interaction as we tried to narrow down our decision on what to have, I had the weekly special which was a fresh roast beef dip with homemade jus served with inhouse kettle chips and a coleslaw with a bit of nip! One of my friends had the all day breakfast, and what a feast! Perfect eggs and a true ham steak. Our other friend tried the bruschetta with a cup of soup, she asked the server about the choices which were a tomato vegan (no dairy or animal we were told) and the one she had which was a chicken and mushroom............. out of this world and we were told always homemade. The bruschetta was a blend of fresh tomatoes and basil on a grilled ciabatta bun. I tried one of their yogurt and fresh (banana/strawberry) smoothies which was not overly sweet and cool for the weather. Overall we were more than happy and plan to make Kava one of our favourite spots for lunch!

I have been here a few times, and have never been...

I have been here a few times, and have never been dissapointed. The first time I went I just got a sandwich, it cost me 5 bucks, and was delicious. The second time I went, I got their all day breakfest, and I have to say, it was the best bacon and eggs I have ever had. I work near Kava, and go there all the time. Great atmosphere and food! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious lunch or coffee!
