NOW TERRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! Went Saturday July 14. Got there at 9:24pm - asked when I got there if the buffet was OK until 10:30. They said, IT is open right until 10:30. Went straight to the buffet. There were still at least a couple dozen still at the buffet. Everything was dried out and sitting for hours. Mentioned to the manager - didnt even apologize - got $3 off an $80 bill. Regional Manager Daniel said he couldnt do anything as I already got a discount. NOW TERRIBLE!!!

Poor Delivery

Well we reserved a delivery time a full day previous, that is 24 hours, for New Years Eve. Got a dinner for 4 with add ons. Our reservation time for the delivery was at 5:30 pm, co-ordinated with other delivery so there would be an assortment of food for everyone. After calling twice we were assured it was very busy in the restaurant but it was on its way, how does the business in the restaurant affect delivery???????? Finally got the food 1 hour 30 minutes late, was assured it was fresh,,,,,,,, does fresh mean cold and soggy. Hmmmmmmm, rethinking plans for next year im sure

While enjoyable, not necessarily worth more $ than King's Buffet

I don't know if I can put my finger on it, but I believe the quality's gone down ever-so-slightly. With the exception of the atmosphere being slightly more spacious/quaint, I don't find the food too much different in quality from King's Buffet, so those wanting to save $4.00 a person may want to try King's over Mandarin. Let's see what bothered me: NO soy sauce anywhere to be found in a Chinese Restaurant, Roast Beef that had NO brown color to it(was completely red...yuck!) The Prime Rib seemed a little gamey to me, and the chocolate mousse cake had no taste. The ribeye steaks that were available for the Holiday(Christmas Day) were delightful. Service seemed adequate...although server was nowhere to be found when I wanted to ask him for Soy sauce(Why isn't this on tables, or in packets near the buffet?) Overall, this will probably have the most selectrion of items locally, but unless it's a really special occasion, I would reconsider going back to King's Buffet over this. I have had some quality concerns there, but I find each dining experience slightly different anyways, and would probably return to a place I was merely content with before, accounting that I may be able to leave satisfied the next time.

Selection, selection, selection

The atmosphere, sound levels, etc are all suitable for a buffet-style dining experience. The servers are quick to get your drinks and bills, and they fill your water glasses and collect your dirty plates while you are up getting your next plate of food. The food has highs and lows, to be sure, as you peruse the available foods. Some are low on flavor, some are really quite good. It is consistent each time I visit. As you would expect, buffet is not the healthiest of eating styles, and Mandarin certainly follows the chinese-food-style of frying an awful lot of your menu choices, I like this restaurant in particular because of the wide selection of foods, dessert included. Beware the dry cakes in the dessert section.

Not bad at all

This was our first time at this location; we had pretty good experience with service and food. I tried almost everything but the crab legs and grilled salmon were the best. The restaurant was very clean and service was very quick. We will be back soon…

Something for Everyone

Mandarin is one of those places that offer a large variety of food that can please almost anyone. This is why it is suitable for a large party such as a birthday celebration, or whatever it may be. At the same time the food is not always good and should be picked carefully. If you are a seafood fan, go for the crab legs, cold shrimp, torpedo shrimp, and baked salmon. Most of the stuff in the "salad" bar came from a can or a jar, so go for the pickled stuff if you are a fan. Avoid the sushi. Don't go over the top on the standard "Chinese" food as it is packed with sugar, salt and corn starch. Do try to visit the grill section for some specials, and roasts. Take it easy on the deserts as most of them are way too sweet and will have regretting the whole experience. This place is a binge eater's paradise.

Food is always consistent here, and thats why we go back alll the time. This last time we went, I wasn't finished my DINNER, let alone started dessert and when I came back to the table with a plate of dinner, the bill was sitting in my plate spot....so I felt extremely rushed out. And didn't stay for dessert since the waiters were hovering over us. There also were empty tables throughout the restaurant and upon leaving we had to dodge through a crowd of maybe 150-200 people to get out the door. Not too sure why these people weren't seated in some of the completely empty rooms and tables, even just to clear the entrance out a bit. Love the food but I was definately being rushed out of there.

The buffet was enormous and there was a HUUUUGE variety!! They have sushi bars, salad bars, desert bars, soups, mains, and sides etc etc. Every time I go, the place is beautiful (especially the entry) and the food smells, looks and tastes awesome and you're always full when you leave :)
