Cultural CentreArts, Heritage, & NatureThe Minden Hills Cultural Centre is a 4 acre area in downtown Minden that houses the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, the Minden Hills Museum, Nature's Place and the Minden Hills Branch of the Haliburton County Public Library . The Agnes Jamieson Gallery is a public art gallery offering visual art exhibitions year-round. The gallery's collection consists primarily of artwork by Andre Lapine. Minden Hills Museum & Pioneer Village reflects pioneer life in the mid to late 19th Century. It consists of seven structures, five of which are original local heritage buildings that have been relocated to the museum grounds. Feature exhibits are located in the Sterling Bank Building- Minden's first bank. Nature's Place holds the estate of Ron Douglas Lawrence, a well-recognized Canadian naturalist and wildlife author. Lawrence's life and books are displayed through changing exhibitions.
