Built in Cooksville, Ontario, Canada (currently Mississauga) , the Thomas Laird Kennedy Secondary School is a school located in Mississauga, Ontario; which was erected in honour of Premier of Ontario Thomas Laird Kennedy. T. L. Kennedy Secondary School first opened its doors to 450 approx. students in Sept. 1953. Premier Thomas L. Kennedy had been a long time resident of Streetsville (now part of Mississauga), where he was Master of the River Park Masonic Lodge. The school has an extensive extracurricular program, including many athletic and sports teams & also specialized in art studies. The school has successful basketball and cricket teams.
