Pflug Optical Limited

Im 53 and I have been a loyal customer since I was 18. She took my $500 for new glasses, said she would call me when they arrived. They never did and 3 weeks later the store was closed. I hope karma follows her.

My family and I have come to Pflug for over 30 years. I feel like friends with the owner and know she works hard to keep her business. Yes the time to wait for your glasses was long, however I liked the personal interaction. Unfortunately I have found she had to close just prior to Christmas 2017. I will miss doing business with her.

I'm with Pflug since 2009. I moved to Toronto 2 years ago, I still come back to them for ? glasses. Grover

Poor experience

Purchaed 2 pairs of progressive glasses for my spouse and myself in spring of 2011. Initially was impressed with both product and service. After about a week of wear I noticed a defficiency in one of my lenses. Upon contacting Phlug I was instructed to come back in to be refitted. Upon doing so I was told that a new lense would have to created .The optician mentioned they would send in an identical frame to the lense manufacturer so I could keep using my new glasses. After approximately 1.5 months I contacted Phlug to get an update on the status of the new order and was told they were having some difficulty with the new lense but were confident the job could be done. Over the course of the summer I contacted Phlug 6+ times plus one physical visit to the store and was essentilly given the same "difficulty with lab" excuse . Finally, in October 2011, I contacted the lense manufacturer and the customer rep told me they would contact Phlug and get the issue resolved. Turns out Phlug never sent the lab the new sizing information or the new frames and if that wasn't enough Phlug stopped returning the lab's phone messages, nice! At this point the lab's rep stepped in and within 1 week I had new lenses in my glasses and the outcome has been great. In short the service from the lab was fantastic. In closing, I would not recommend Phlug Optical for your eyewear needs, extremely poor service.

Good glasses, but you will wait for them!

Been a customer of Pflugs for twenty years or so. The glasses are always well made and follow up service is good, but you will wait for them to be finished and you will not get an honest answer in terms of how long it will take. I typically wait two to three weeks to have a pair of glasses made and when I phone I am often told that they will be done the next day, and they are not. I am currently in my sixth week waiting for my most recent pair. If you have lots of time to wait, Pflug is fine. If you are in a hurry or need an honest projection, go somewhere else.
