My family used Silverstein's Bakery as a supplier for our café and it was a great decision. Lots of variety and the bread was delicious.
Great work Mr. Silverstein!
The delivery driver in our area once very rudely mocked one of our prep cooks because she has a thick Korean accent making her cry.
This week alone I have recieved 40dzn pieces of stale buns and rolls and have not received a call back from a manager or rep despite many phone calls.
The sizes of the rolls change regularly.
I have recieved combinations of egg, whole wheat and white when I've only ordered white.
Once we ordered 12 loaves of sliced white bread and they sent us Dempsters that they must have bought from the store because they forgot to bake our bread.
I have given them a few chances as I have been buying from them for years but will never use them again because of their substandard product, rude staff and nonexistent customer service.
I am very sorry that it has taken so long to respond to you! We do not condone rude behaviour by any of our staff. We try and respond to all
complaints immediately, but it is obvious that we fell short in your case
with these problems. We stand behind our products and service and hope that you will give us another chance.
You can contact me directly, @ 416-598-3478, to personally look after your
account.
Thank-you for your business,
Mark Silverstein

This family-owned neighbourhood bakery has been in business since 1918 and claims to prepare Toronto’s best rye bread — we’re inclined to agree. In addition to the noteworthy rainbow rye, you’ll find a variety of specialty loaves and banquet breads for special occasions. Cover all your carb needs with multigrain, braided challah, egg loaf and onion bread.
