Small yet staunchly independent, Bibliophile has been selling books in English in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges – Notre-Dame-de-Grâce since 1981, betting on exemplary service to develop and maintain its cosmopolitan clientele. “We are a bookstore that prides itself on taking care of its customers,” says owner Sandra Climan. “We want them to leave happy and to have a pleasurable reading experience. If we were serving food, we wouldn’t want them to have a disappointing meal.”
In addition to a solid base in fiction, Bibliophile carries a wide selection of books on the topics of psychology and Judaism, as well as a plentiful children’s section.
