Whether you step into Tabascobar wearing a shirt and tie to meet a business associate for lunch, a miniskirt to dance the night away, or a sports jersey to show your hockey pride, you’re at the right place. Day or night, you can mingle, kick back, eat, drink and be merry. You can also play some pool, catch the game on the widescreen TVs, hang out with buddies, or all of the above.
Tabascobar is friendly to all things fun and fiesta, but it doesn’t exclude the more formal get-togethers. You can come for shots of vodka or shots of espresso, pitchers of beer or sangria, all while embracing tipsy group hugs and high-fives among strobe lights and loud speakers.
Depending on your mood, you can migrate from the basement to the top floor of the mansion-sized building. Choose from signature house cocktails and martinis, and munch on a multitude of meals and snacks like jumbo nachos topped with salsa and guacamole, Monterey Jack cheese and green olives. Regardless of the variables, the constant is that you’re in for a good time.
I used to go to Tabascobar alot for drinks with friends or to watch the occasional hockey game. Last week I decided to go to eat..because I seemed to remember they had good food and I was in the area.
The food was better than I recalled and quite suprinsgly delicious compared to the standard usually available in bars. The prices are also quite reasonable.
Wether to eat and drink..or simply to eat...I strongly recommend Tabascobar!
Tobasco Bar is located on Côte-des-Neiges, near the University of Montreal. It has become synonymous with a good time for many students in the area. The bar has many different drink specials on any given evening, and the place is pretty big, so don’t worry about not getting in. They serve typical Tex-Mex fare along with pizza and sandwiches. There’s a dance floor, billiards and giant TV screens to suit anyone’s evening.
