The Village of Prelate may be a small community, but as with all municipalities, there are Bylaws, Statues and Permits that need to be followed, obeyed and obtained. The Village requires Permits to build, move, or demolish anything on your property. Approval of all permits needs to be done prior to any changes. It may be your property but the Village does have the final say.The Village has contracted a Bylaw Officer, Deanna Smith, from the Town of Maple Creek. She will be randomly stopping in the Village to check for messy yards, weeds, cats, dogs, unregistered vehicles, and building without permits.
