Originally coming from Calgary, Alberta where I worked for Tree Tops Pet Resort, it was a dream of mine to A. Never have to travel in city traffic for a job again, and B. be around animals and nature all the time. After moving to Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, we had one building, in good shape, that worked perfectly for a boarding kennel. We are both animal lovers and I enjoy spending my day working and taking care of them so the kennel and grooming just seemed like a no brainer! Country Freedom Kennels was opened in 2008. We kept and framed the first $bill we made with a picture of our first ever little guest. Don't tell anyone, but he slept on our bed... we kind of weren't 100% set up yet.

We have 6 dogs, 7 cats (YES we know that's a lot, NO they aren't all in the house and only 1 sleeps with us taking up 75% of the king sized bed... the Miniature Pinscher "Sir King" Arthur), 3 horses, a Llama named Frodo (yes one of us is kind of a nerd and many are named from Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings) and a fish named Dude. Our days are never boring. We know there are some of you out there who find it difficult to drop off your little love of a four-legged partner, we look forward to taking the stress out of your boarding experience and the worry out of their grooming experience.YES you are more stressed then your pet about the boarding experience!
