excellent service & an amazing selection of appetizers and bbq meats
I love this place, the food it's fresh and I the workers are really friendly and the costumer service it's fast. They always bring the meet that we request to our table. The band and the dancers are amazing and for us it's one of the best restaurant to entreteitment in the Six.
We chose to goto this place lastnight, nice salad bar, good meats. Ambiance was nice and a little bit of fun with a show and enjoyed the Dancing as well. Highly recommend..
Rodeo is the best all you can eat in the city! It has been around for years, these people know what they are doing! Meat is tasty, salad bar is fresh with so many amazing varieties! The service is perfect. Would highly recommend!
What sort of service is it to turn back customers at 9 pm! We drove a half an hour as a friend wanted to surprise me with my first Brazilian steak house experience, and what an experience it was. If you don't close at 11 it shouldn't say that online. I promise that if this situation is not remedied I will make sure to spread this word far and wide. Every customer matters.
My husband took me out for dinner last night after I got back form seeing my mother in London. I had no idea where he was taking me but lad he did. So we arrived at this place on Danforth called the "Rodeo", from what I have been told it was called the Red Violin before. It was a all you can eat Brazilian Restaurant. The food was really good. They come around and served you meat. I was told to have small portions because they keep coming around with new meats. The salad bar was great to. I didn't eat to much salad thou, the meat alone was enough on its own. I don’t remember the name of the beef but my favorite was the one that had cheese inside the beef. I high recommend this place to anyone looks for a place to celebrate an event, and or to do something nice for a love one.
Hello I do not feel that the terrible reviews are justified. Yes, the drink service was slightly slower than we would have liked - but we were there to spend an evening not rush through a meal. The salad/appetizer bar was fantastic - we had no problems with freshness or temperature. As for the main meal, the fried bananas were great. The meats - I did find the pork and beef cut to be a little dry and lacking flavour- but thoroughly enjoyed the bacon wrapped turkey, and the lamb was GREAT. And yes, as everyone says the grilled pineapple is delicious. All in all, a nice experiece - I do agree that the decor is not all it could be for the price of the meal - but I tend to concentrate on the food :). As well, found the entertainment, well, entertaining - consisted of a singer with band, and some dancers intermittently throughout the evening. I may come again, but I would try other Brazilian restaurants in the city just to see what is out there.
The Salad Bar was really nice and had a good selection. The cheese bread was really good. Once we finished with our salad bar the meat starting coming around. Almost all the beef was cooked really rare and I could not eat it that way. The chicken and turkey was good, but the pork was very dry. The side dishes were nothing special for the price. The entertainment was good, but loud. Overall the food was okay... not worth the price and I would not return.
The serve was extremely slow. Thank goodness we got a drink at the bar while we waited for our table. Once sat we were not greeted for approximately 15 minutes. The appetizer buffet was scant and hot dishes cold. All of the skewered meat was very dry. Most had no flavour. The entertainment was fantastic. The band was superb, however, we did sit right beside the band...far too loud. There are other Brazilian restaurants in the city that I have heard are fantastic.
This was my second time in a year at this restaurant as the food was pretty good the first time. I was there both nights on a Thursday. The first time, I was told that the live Brazilian Band couldn't make it because the singer was sick. Same excuse the second time... I brought three colleagues the second time in May 07 and we spent about three hundred dollars. Main waiter showed up to greet and again for his tip but was generaly uncaring. Food was mediocre this time round and they kept trying to pass off cheaper cutts of meat like the chicken wings, the wine was hot...It was extremely insulting to have the lights flickered on and off at about 10pm because staff wanted to go home. I would definitely not go back again.
Churrascu - Brazillian Barbecue. Very authentic (for this hemisphere!) It's a flat rate [prix fixe] that varies during the week - $30 Mon-Wed; $40 Thurs and $50 Friday-Saturday. There's live entertainment Thurs - Sat, I think, and that's the jackup in price. You start with a 'salad bar' type buffet - although there's sauteed mussels, shrimp, bits of sausage, smoked salmon, pickled this and that, shaved preserved meats, bread, etc. Once you've had your fill - like Las Vegas, you can keep on coming back! - you get the next 'course' - the grilled meats. They are all slow-fired over a gas grill on long skewers. You get a bunch of small side dishes like black beans, cous-cous, fried bananas, etc. Guys come to your table periodically with a full skewer of whatever and offer you a slice or two. Help yourself. They'll come back if you ask them to or if you wait out the rotation. You get things like: Garlic Beef sirrloin, Picanha Tenderloin (try eating the fat, at least one bite - it's divine!) Chicken Hearts, Turkey Breast, Leg o'Lamb, Pork Tenderloin, Chicken Drumettes, etc etc. If you're really hungry and you want Latin barbecue, this is the place. Oh yea, the Mojitos are excellent!
We have been to here before and had a good experience...and that is why we came back for valentine's day. I will honestly tell you that I will never go back! The meat was tough and chewy, and the service was decent. I used to be a waitress /bartender so I am not picky and have a good understanding of the business. The buffet was 50.00 /person but it was not the price of the food. We got billed and kicked out of our seats an hour and a half into our meal....(which was a buffet)...we tipped 18% but got moved into the bar area, where we were told the show would start soon. I honestly ordered 2 martini's and 3 double vodka soda's....before the show started we had to leave and the bill came to 96.00 (for drinks+entertainment). I was very disappointed when they charge us an additional 30.00 for the show in which we did not watch and had not started by 9pm. I feel that... if one who appreciates good food, and service and who is willing to pay not only for the bill but tip.....should not have to pay for a show they did not watch! A successful establishment should not have to rip off their customers 30.00 when they are making profits off of drinks and food. I sued to recommend this restaurant to friends and clients but will NEVER AGAIN!
I have never had such a bad experience in my life. The food was scarce and had no taste. The service was slow and the entertainment boring. The conditions of the bathrooms were horrendous. To top it all of, they ran out of dessert.
This was my first time at one of these Brazilian style restaurants and what a big disappointment it was. The service was horrible, the food was scarce and over salted and the price was ridiculous. I was really disappointment with the experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We went there to eat the famour brazilian rodizio and what we had was a big disapointment, the service was horrible, the food we got served with chicken and turkey as our first dish and they never came back we had to say something to the head waiter and then they decided to come back with the same type of meats by this time it had been about 1 hour and we just wanted the bill so we can leave we werent interested in any more food at that restaurant. I have been to many restaurants of this type and so far this has been the worst one, its way to expensive fot the type of food that they served,i can buy a case of chicken for the price that i paid for a chicken drum there, i was really upset, i will never recomend this restaurant to anyone and if anyone ever askes i will definately let them know about my experiance.

The first Brazilian steakhouse rodizio in Ontario is a fantastic option to take Dad for a Father’s Day celebration dinner. The combination of meat and buffet options and the fact that it’s a fixed price menu means he can go as crazy as he wants. With a selection of Picahna AAA Beef, pork, lamb, chicken, salmon and roasted pineapple, side dishes (vegetables, potatoes, rice, beans, fried bananas, a fresh casava meal called "farofa") and a self-serve salad and appetizer buffet, there’s no doubt this will be a Father’s Day to remember.
