Went in because multiple mechanics were recommending I go see a transmission specialist. For two years this tranny was slipping and stalling at stop signs, mechanic said I needed a new transmission from donor truck. Went into Benz, they spent a day analyzing the problem, checking leaks and stalling issues, as well as tough cold starts. Topped up fluids and flushed it, found the level ridiculously low. So mechanics all tried to get me to replace a tranny, that just saved me $5000, bill was $67. Read more

I would highly recommend coming here if you feel your mechanic is scamming you. I have been scammed by mechanics who are also family friends. It is very hard to find a good place to take your car. We came in thinking we needed a new transmission or atleast major work done to it because it was kicking very hard on the downshift 2-1 on our 2004 jaguar (6hp26 transmission). He roadtested our vehicle and said not to spend any money on it right now and it should be fine for another few years.
