Whenever we are in the area, we treat ourselves to a slice or two. Their pizza is simple, authentic and delicious. They capture the "old world" flavours of Italy, which is something you CANNOT get at "franchise/big chain" pizza places. We are not Italian, but we certainly know how to eat pizza. We've also travelled to Italy several times (although never to the Naples area). So we're not really (culturally) qualified to judge authentic Italian food. But what we can say is: When you eat "Italian" food in Italy, it's not the same as eating food from a chain restaurant here. In Italy, food is more of a celebration. They take care to use really good ingredients that let the subtle flavours of tomato and cheese, etc really shine through. We find that chain pizza places use generally poor quality ingredients. Naples uses high quality, authentic ingredients, and you can really taste the difference. Highly recommended. Read more

Wow ! What a great place to eat and have a good time. The food was delicious and and restaurant is beautiful now ! I was here for a party last week we had so much fun. They had music, people danced , great singer !! Our waiter made us laugh and is really good looking too . Last time i was here was 8 years ago and place looked kind of old fashioned and not well kept. Now they made changes in every way and I have to admit this restaurant is better than most in every way. Its only $15.99 & gets you an entire meal w/ drink too. we always have left overs cuz like most we end up filling up on salad, soup and that yummy warm endless garlic bread! We usually get a side of parm to butter n dip the bread in yum! I often order the pasta with half spicy arabata sauce and half bolognese and add veggies to the dish. I visited Johnny's today because I know the owner and told him I would stop and try his pizza. I know he strives for excellent service and product (he has another business as well which is well looked after) and both of these today were outstanding. The pizza is hand made right before your eyes (he even wears the chefs hat!). It is cooked to perfection......the crust is ever so slightly crisp,light and airy..not heavy like a loaf of bread, the cheese melted just to a hint of brown in places. The store itself is small, and simple...one flat screen TV on the front wall, just loud enough to hear. He has about 6 square cafe tables some 4 seats some 2. A display case has a selection of huge slices for quick take out too. Prices are quite in line with the quality of the product, and his pies are bigger than others...his large is the other guys X-large! I've been to Oregano's many times and know the staff quite well. I usually split a pizza to start (margherita) and get an entree, or pasta. I love the veal parmigana. My husband and I went the other night and had an amazing meal, a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by our server that was perfectly paired to our meal.
