We have been enjoying Fusion since their original location here opened in 2013, and we loved it just as much tonight as we did back then and the times in between. Fantastic food, and they have made coming for the supper buffet even more reasonably priced than it was before. We especially love the pakora appetizers, butter chicken, naan, and some mango ice cream for dessert, but there is a good range of mild to hot meat and veggie dishes on offer. I've visited this little sub and ice cream shop many times and it always has me feeling very satisfied, and warm inside cause I was able to help out a small mom and pop shop. The man working here, whom I've yet to get his name is a vibrant heat warming fella'. Very friendly, makes you feel like a regular. The food, great! I can't believe anyone would rate this place poorly, for what it is its FANTASTIC. I've tried almost all the subs on the menu, my most recent visit I got the rib sub for myself, loaded it up with all the toppings, made a huge mess eating it and loved every minute of it. Its places and eats like this that make life all worth while, yes its a big statement I know but its truly a gem. Something has to be done right to get consistent high ratings. I was shocked to see someone write a poor review on this place knowing full well what they were getting into. These are the comfort foods that are hard to come by in this day and age with big franchised companies saturating the industry. From street meat to racks of lamb, I've had it all and this place gets my approval! I will be coming back and I'm bringing a crowd. Wheres Anthony Bourdain when you need him? p.s. We went for my 40th - I was soooooooo hyped - rated 77th in the world!? We had the 7 course tasting menu. GREAT service, okay restaurant atmosphere - not intimate or romantic if you take out the grounds. The Sommelier was AMAZING - the wine pairing totally stole the show with the chef tasting menu. We are foodies - and happy friendly ones (aka not snobs) - and found the food 'good'. The tasting courses were uninspired - things were cooked properly (except the beans with the bison) - but nothing - absoloutely nothing stood out or was remarkable or memorable...other than..the bison dish. Sadly the chef gave one of us the tail of the fillet and the other the mid - so one of us had 2 small wedges and the other 2 plump medallions...and yes YES they do taste totally different (would not have known if we hadn't switched a piece) - that being said - it was definately the BEST red meat portion I have ever eaten -not so much flavor profile wise as the way it was cooked and the source (Alberta I think) - it was 11/10 in terms of amazing. The mushroom crumble on the cheese course - great - fabulous - but honestly ..other than that nothing really memorable. If you want an amazing chef's tasting menu - don't go. If you want the overall English estate..weekend getaway - go. If you want out of this world wine pairing - go - the Sommelier was indeed the star. cheers! Lynn Read more

It was my choice. Anywhere I wanted to go for my birthday dinner was the plan. It had been over 10 years since I last ate at the Charcoal Steak House, so that was it. We made reservations early and were seated at a booth. The restaurant was very dark, which bothered one of my guests, but I loved it. A very warm atmosphere. Private while sitting in a room full of other diners. We chose the Crab Cakes for our appetizer. They were delicious. Perfectly crusted with panko, soft and tender on the inside. A nice tartar sauce served on the side. The dish also came with a side of pickled cucumber, which I was not a fan of, but my guests loved. Looking over the menu, we made the obvious choices being in a steak house. The prime rib special, the Nebraska Rib-Eye and the King City Rib-Eye. The Prime Rib was great. Soft and juicy, but my guest had an issue. She ordered well done, but it was served medium. She still ate it, and loved it, but was not given what she ordered. My other guest loved the King-City Steak. Served with Sweet Potato Fries. I sampled a bite or two of her steak, and it tasted better than my Nebraska cut. The steak I chose, the Nebraska Rib, was wonderful. But again, the kitchen was a little off with the cooking. I ordered medium, and was served well done. Regardless, it still was one of the best steaks I've ever had. The ends of the steak had that perfect crunchy crust that everyone loves on a Rib Steak. We passed on dessert, seeing I had a cake at home waiting. After chatting to our waitress, my guest let it slip that it was my birthday, before the bill came she brought out a peice of Mint Ice Cream Cake free of charge. I appreciated that. Read more
