I was thinking that since it was a la carte it would be more expensive but surprisingly it wasn't. The place was quite busy and the service was somewhat slow. We ordered 2 supreme bento boxes at 10 dollars a piece and a spicy crunchy california roll as well as extra shrimp tempura. It was more than enough to fill us up and we had leftovers as well. It is a friendly restaurant. The waitresses are nice. The fish (sashimi) was very fresh, but the salmon and tuna were cut in a big chunk (too thick to eat). The the noodles of Nabeyaki Udon were too hard (normally japanese udon should be chewy). The soup of the udon is just a soy sauce soup based with some fish cakes, a shrimp tempura and a fish tempura. The tempura served with the noodles became soggy. The Uni sushi was fresh and the price is good ($6.50 per order). The vegetable tempura dinner is so so. The vegetable tempura were in big chunk, not crispy enough. The sauce of the tempura is okay. I saw other people in the next table who had bento box dinner. Those bento box dinners looked good to me. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. This small place does it right! The food is absolutely excellent, and the wait staff are very helpful with a great attitude. Everyone in our party of six loved their dinners at Positano, plus the price was right, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Being able to bring our own wine was a nice bonus and lessens the impact on the wallet. The other nice thing was that they weren't rushing us out the door the minute we were finished, but allowed us to linger and chat. No wonder the place is packed.
