I have been to Lousiana last Summer and left with a bad experiance and thought of not going back again.. since all my friends forced me to go i went with them really I felt the difference comparing to my last vist.. its been newly renovated and a beautiful patio to relax and have a beer to chill out with friends. Staff really friendly and they have variety of food menu to decide on. They have a plate called land and sea which comes with lobster, Steak and shrimps which really value for money and good quality i was really impressed with the servise provided and i spoke to the Manager of Lousiana he told me how this was earlier and the new management is really working on with food quiality and provide great customer service... I will definelty go to Louisiana again and do recommand to my friends... WELL DONE LOUISIANA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! Read more

I always enjoy the menu at Milestones. I have one concern. The wine list unbelievably does not have ONE Ontario wine in its selection of wines that are all international. Its hard to believe that in our Niagara region we produce some of the worlds best wines at very good prices and Milestones doesn't have even one red and white available. Please correct this for your customers. Our group were mystified when they looked at the wine list and all agreed this was an oversight at a good restaurant. Read more

I had heard terrific things about Domani, a restaurant run by a former pro footballer from Afghanistan who has worked at some of Toronto's top restaurants, and had to come down to High Park and see for myself. The service was very courteous, prompt, and personal. At no point did we even have to ask for anything because it was already taken care of. The food was exquisite, well-presented and skilfully prepared. The portions were large but despite being quite full it was too delicious to leave any behind. The desserts were absolutely amazing, though next time I would do without the espresso. Though Domani requires a bit of a journey, I have not eaten anywhere in Toronto where gourmet food of this quality is available at such a reasonable price and accompanied by such excellent service. Great food; really interesting atmosphere. Spectacular drinks! The seats on the outside patio are tree stumps. There's live music too on some days. The menus come on a vinyl record. I have always wanted to try Milestones and finally went today for lunch as it is convenient to my hotel. If the bruschetta is any indication of the taste of their food, I will definitely be back! The lunch combo is a perfect way to try two dishes. The salad could have used more toppings, particularly the spicy glazed pecans but the vinaigrette is pleasant with the remaining greens. I love the fact that the bruschetta is on flatbread. Lots of goat cheese and great balsamic reduction! No need for dessert with this stuff! I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio? We have been here two times for dinner. The atmosphere is good, but a bit tight space to sit. The service is great and fast. The portions were big and the deal it, that you get a complementary delicious set of eggplant dips with bread. The food we had was very tasty and good. I don't recall the menus we had, but I recall that we liked it. All in all a pretty good food with the nice idea of the free appetizers. Always good to just hop in for a good spontaneous dinner.
