Right on Dundas and Elizabeth, this little gem is sort of hidden downstairs. My Chinese friends refer to it as 'the basement' rather than its name. The bigger the group, the cheaper the meal. Dim Sum is good and very inexpensive ($2.20 - $3.70 per item). If you are going for lunch during the week, get there EARLY as it fills up very quickly. Once you have had lunch there, you will understand why. The Dim Sum is served from carts, so there are times when some of it may not be as hot as it should be, but I have never found that to be a problem since the food is very good. The decor is very basic with plastic table clothes, but the restaurant is quite clean, so that is not a problem. I go there regularly and recommend it.

A party of 3 international travellers were seated at one of the many small quaint tables. The decor resembled that of both Thai and Indian, as did the menus. There were 2 other small parties seated but did not disrupt our experience.
Service was immediate and very polite. Beverages were served first and promptly. The wait between entrees and the main course was a little longer than common.
The food was edible but not as refined as I would have liked. Tandoori chicken was a little too burnt. Green Curry seemed watery and lacked substance. Chicken masala did not have as much flavor as most. The garlic naan was delicious, moist and crispy. Mango Lassis were perfect. Saffron rice was light and fluffy.
This place paid close attention to details with respect to the presentation of the food, prompt service, ambiance and environment. This raised my overall score.

I've been going to this restaurant for over 30 years! 3 different owner, yet same Cheff (one of them) same food! Best Manchurain Chicken, Beef Briske Curry, Roasted Pork with Tofu, Cantonese Chowmien, Deep fried Spicy Shrimp.. Portion is lots smaller than before, but understood.. all are expensive! Fast friendly service from the ladies at this shop. I will go back again.
I ordered two plates of steamed dumplings (10 dumplings per plate) and a bowl of shrimp wonton soup. The meal was simple in a traditional Beijing style but also very enjoyable and very filling. For more a traditional meal, try the pork with chives dumplings served steamed or pan fried.

We have gone there several times as it a local place for us. The service was excellent and everything at dinner was very well prepared even though we made small request changes.
