My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though. I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. This place is a hidden gem. Walked in and ordered a pizza out of curiosity to see if it was good. The pizza is really great! The crust is better than most places and the pizzas are not as greasy. I have been a huge fan of Tonys for years. Been going to the location on Dundas for ages and this place is so classic Italian its such a London landmark. The portions are huge and I always order the large panzerotti just so I can take some home, awesome the next day. I love this restaurant. Whether you go for lunch or dinner you can always be guaranteed a wonderful meal. The new owners have added a few new dishes to the menu and I have to say, the service is friendlier than it used to be under the previous owners. I had the caesar salad (the dressing is amazing) and baked penne which was cooked perfectly (al dente). There was no room for dessert but the crepes sounded fantastic. Read more
