We finally made a return visit to this charming little restaurant. We were not disappointed! We all enjoyed our choices from the new menu. My ribs were excellent -juicy, tender, meaty, tasty. I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised! Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down. We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good. I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great. I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location. Read more

Mostly excellent food here. Had one bad lunch where we were not impressed with the food taste on a few items. Off day? The other dozen visits food was excellent!
