Wonderful seafood at great prices. Our go-to place whenever we visit the area. Lines can be long, but it's well worth the wait. Highly recommend it to anyone that loves seafood.
I can't believe I'm the first person to praise Red Fish Blue Fish on Restaurantica. it's our "Goto" place when we're in Victoria. We haven't had the fish and chips. We normally go for the Scallop Tacones. They will blow you away. Served with a side of their fresh made coleslaw.
Most recently we opted for the Scallop Sandwich. it's a little pricey, but absolutely delicious. Order a side of Curry Fries and you're in for one of the most memorable meals in town.
This is all down on the waterfront which makes for a brilliant atmosphere and great people watching. If you haven't been, you'll be amazed at what they've used to build their shop. I have to leave that as a surprise.
Again... you'll shell out a few bucks for food, but it will be crazy-off-the-hook-delicious food.
Using only freshly caught and locally sourced fish when possible, Red Fish Blue Fish has made a name for themselves as one of the best seafood spots in town. And while many people go for their fish and chips or tacones, it’s the rich chowder that wins over soup lovers. Their own variant brings in a chipotle coconut flavour and is made with Pacific whitefish confit. It’s unlike any other chowder in town, which is saying something for a city that’s world-famous for its seafood.
If there's anything in life worth waiting in line for it's the deep-fried pickles at this fave waterfront locale. And the fresh, sustainable fish and hot, crispy chips complete the total package. Housed in an upcycled cargo container, this quirky spot does the classics to perfection while also offering such on-trend fare as fish tacos and chipotle coconut chowder.
When a restaurant is named after a Dr. Seuss book, you can assume that it is family-friendly. This café is essentially an upgraded fish and chips place, ideal for kids and grown-ups alike. From tempura-battered cod and halibut to grilled salmon with chips to jerk fish poutine, everyone will find something to like on the menu.
