best burgers !

Well all i can say is they must have improved the food since the reviews here were written.. we recently stopped in on a saturday afternoon.. we ordered burgers and fries and the burgers were HUGE slabs of sirloin beef , cooked to perfection and very very tasty. The fries were good, and the sweet potato fries were AWESOME. our server was friendly, fast and attentive. Yes the place is dark, but its supposed to be. We will go back for sure, most likely for a dinner of fish and chips. I could NOT finish my burger it was so big, and asked for a container which was promptly provided. yes I'd take guests here....

Bad Evening

I attended a party last night. The bartender accused me of coming in one evening before this ordering a beer and leaving without paying. When I told her that it definately wasn't me she called me a liar! I would never do that! I don't like the brand of beer I apparently ordered! Not the best staff! We had problems getting service. My friend could not use her gift certificate, no debt!

i am a regular at thte Harp and LOVE IT!!!! The service is amazing!!!! I especially like the bartender named Natalie - she is soooooo sweet! she works with anothe girl i think her name is Sandra who is easily as friendly. The food and entertainment are number 1!!! I would recommend this place tpo anyone!!! Food quality is great and definitely a great value!!!! Atmosphere is definitely welcoming!!! Best place to visit in Port Credit!!!!

Stopped into the Harp this past Saturday after reading an article about a Robbie Burns celebration taking place there for charity. Thought it would be fun to check it out. A bunch of us went down to the lake where staff and friends of the Harp were doing a polar bear dip in the Lake. I think the temperature was -17!!!!! Couldn't believe my eyes when more than 20 people went into the lake, some even dunked their heads under the water! Back at the Harp the mood was amazing, the commoraderie amongst the staff and customers was great. Between "Addressing the Haggis", the piper, the food, and the chatter, it was clear that this establishment is special and loved by its regulars. Will definitely be back!

Waited over 45 minutes for food to arrive. Wings were dry, and not very saucy. Bangers and mashed only were half eaten. Bad service, bad food, long wait times. How is this the "best pub" in Mississauga?

The fruit flies enjoyed my meal more than I did

When we arrived, there were very few people in the place. The waitress was prompt in bringing our drinks but then we had to wait for at least half an hour to order. While waiting for our food, we were constantly being pestered by fruit flies and house flies that just wouldn't go away! What little flavour the hamburger had wasn't very appetizing and the ONLY thing that I enjoyed were the fries. Don't bother with this place.

Friendly Staff, Great Food!

Went to the Harp recently and have been going for years. This time was for lunch (but I often go to catch a band with friends). All I can say is the Harp feels like home. The staff were (and are) friendly and the food has a "cooked at home" quality. On this occasion the server with the Irish accent had us in stitches, and added to the experience with her humour and welcoming attitude. I recommend the Harp for lunch or dinner (or breakfast on the weekend!) anytime.

Gross, Gross, Gross

So after hearing the Harp has been in business for 20 yrs my friend and I decided to go and check it out. First impression was dark, dirty and smelly. We sat ourselves in a booth half way down the bar and waited for a server to come over with some menus. We waited for a little while and the a smiling Irish lady came over. She started off pleasent and then turned when we returned out drinks as the tonic was flat. Once we ordered it seemed to take forever. There were only 4 other tables and didnt understand why wings and a caesar salad would take 20 mins at lunch. The wings were tiny and undercooked. The salad was soaked in dressing and was not very cold. Once we asked for our bill it took forever. The lady was behind the bar chatting to a man and not paying attention to the rest of the custmers. Then we paid, left a tip and went to the washrooms at the back of the pub. They smelled of B.O. and the toilets were filthy.Needless to say we just turned around the left. How have they been in business for 20 yrs? Very disappointing.

I ordered a lovely pasta dish off the special menu and really enjoyed it. The special also included the soup of the day, which was cheddar and mushroom and was fantastic. I reference to another comment posted on Restaurantica about the washrooms having neither soap or paper towels--perhaps you should base your review on your own experience rather than your buddy

Rumor had it that the wings were fantastic at The Harp-I was unaware that feathers still attached is an acceptable practice as the waitress with the phony accent rudely indicated to me. The beer was served quickly and it was cold. The public restroom which is shared with the staff (from my understanding) was not equipped with soap nor with paper towels. This is a serious concern – how cleanly can the food preparation be if these are the conditions the staff must contend with? I witnessed a staff member exit the washroom with wet hands and used his apron to dry them. I am quite disgusted to say the least. Mississauga’s health and safety should consider a more stringent screening procedure for all of the restaurants and bars in the area.

This is one of many times our group has visited The Harp - usually we come in for the fantastic live music on the weekends, but any time of the day / week is always a pleasure. The food is always fantastic and huge and the staff are always friendly and accommodating - totally recommend The Harp - after 19 years in Port Credit and still going strong, they really are doing it RIGHT!!!
