Some people choose their professions based on market trends, others on the people they work with. But for Kyle Smallegange, founder of Alpha Pro Painting, what led him to professional painting was his entrepreneurial spirit. “I’ve worked for a lot of different people in a lot of different roles,” Kyle says. “But what I like most about my job now is that I’m my own boss.”
Officially opened in 2013, Kyle had already been a painter on-and-off for years. Originally, he started as a way to help his family and friends, but soon more people were seeking out his services. “Painting used to be a weekend thing for me,”Kyle recalls. “It’s something I’m good at, so I kept getting more and more jobs until I had to take it on full-time. Since then, we’ve only gotten bigger.”
Now, his painting expertise ranges from residential properties to commercial buildings and new housing developments in the Toronto and Durham Region.

We would absolutely recommend Alpha Pro Painting! Kyle and his team (Alpha Mom, Dan and Mark) were professional, extremely skilled, helpful, courteous and friendly! They painted our entrance and it's closet, hallways (upstairs and downstairs) kitchen, family room, powder room, and living room. They also painted the trim in all of these places, our fireplace mantle and a few doors! All of that in less than 2 days.

I had the pleasure of working with Kyle this past week. Kyle painted my family room, ceilings, walls, crown moulding, baseboards, and stripped a bathroom of wallpaper and repainted that too. 1 day, in and out.
