There aren’t many restaurants where you’ll see old-timers enjoying their coffee-club seated next to hungry teenagers fueling up before exams, with their parents at the next table chatting about the latest scores. The Boot & Blade is truly a multi-generational meeting and eating place. Hey, when it works, it works for everyone! And everyone is welcome here.
As a licensed Chef for 35 years, Grant Cameron runs his kitchen based on his own personal code of ethics: fresh local meats – locally sourced daily specials; commitment to customer service that’s above and beyond.

I've eaten here many times since moving to the area and have introduced several friends to it now too.
It's a small little place with a hockey theme. The booths are kind of small and can be a little claustrophobic, but there are tables out in the open area as well.
The food is usually really good. I recommend their nachos. These are not your usual nachos, but are made with cross-cut potatoes with your nacho fixings on top (beef, jalapenos, cheese, olives, peppers). If you're not a big eater, just have this appetizer and you'll be full.
The salads are fresh and there are usually some creative things on the specials board. Soups are good and homemade.
And if you're a hockey fan, you might run into a few of the Owen Sound Attack on occasion too.
My wife and I went to this restaurant and we enjoyed it pretty much. Food was good and service quick.
The atmosphere is cozy. I agree though with one of the persons above about the pop: It was flat.
Took my wife and child for breakfast.
Food was hot, fast and great.
I found the price higher than your normal greasy spoon type place.. but this place has more class.
Nice hometown feel and atmosphere.
Busy place but very attentive staff.
I will be going back.
I recommend you try it once if you are looking for a nice breakfast.
This is our favorite spot in owen sound to eat!
I love the atmosphere as its homey and not too ritzy...Its very casual!
Its always busy and there is always a line up on the weekends for breakfast.
Thanks Boot and Staff for keeping that place rockin!
