The service was fast and friendly, and the lunch was great. See you again!!!!!!!!!!!
Although the restaurant was moderately busy; it was a holiday and they should have expected a good crowd. The service was poor at best as the server was very unattentive, a poor communicator and just an order taker, not at all interested in what we might like from their menu - in addition she was running the bar so we hardly saw her especially when we needed her attention. The food was very disappointing and obviously it sat under the lights for too long and was unacceptable.
We walked in and sat ourselves. We couldn't find a server. It took forever for the server to approach our table. That should have been our hint. The food was fine, the menu implies that the food is made in house. I doubt that. We could not find a server to pay our bill, ask for ketchup for the fries or ask for another drink. Our lunch ended in frustration.
We wanted to try a new restaurant while on our overnight trip to Stratford. Bentley's was close, looked to be a cool place, and the menu was inviting. It was by far one of the WORST places we could have chosen. Our food was delivered together, but when my husband bit into his meal, he discovered that his meal had been ready for quite some time and has been under heat lights while my order was being prepared. His Burger was overcooked and dried out. The worst part was they they put his salad on the same plate, so his salad was also warm and limp. My "meal" if you were to call it that, was a pitiful excuse for an Entree. The portion size (which I had asked out before ordering and was told was a fair size) was not even enough to satisfy a small child. I was expecting about 3 times more noodles and a variety of vegetables, as MOST stirfrys are prepaired. Instead, I paid $14.50 for about 1 cup of noodles with red pepper, shards of what looked like swiss chard, and green onions. I did not order any chicken for an additional $2.50 (thank God!). I was actually still hungry when we left, and fortunatly for us, our Bed & Breakfast provided me with a granola bar and fruit to hold me over till morning. I wish we would have complained, but my husband never informed me of his horrible meal, till after we left. Our Bill, after a small tip, was $31.00....and an empty stomach.
