We had never been to this establishment, and after having to book over a week in advance we were expecting an exceptional dining experience.
Even before we opened the menu we asked if the bright halogen light directly over our table could be turned down. The owner/manager (?) dimmed the restaurant lights. Thumbs up for that!
After waiting 10-15 minutes, we were considering leaving when our server arrived and thanked us for our patience! Instead of asking us if we would like to start with a cocktail, we were asked if we were ready to order!
The red pepper soup ($6) was good but bland. The spicy sausage linguini ($16) was good & spicy.
My wife's Caesar salad ($8) was swimming in dressing. We didn't have to ask - the owner/manager (?) immediately took it off the bill.
My wife ordered the lamb shank entree ($24). The tomato sauce overpowered the lamb and although tender, there was very little meat. My wife said that pork hawks could easily have been substituted because the flavour of the lamb was indiscernible under the tomato sauce.
The restaurant is too small for the number of tables - my chair was repeatedly bumped by servers. My wife and I would have liked to linger over a glass of wine or cup of coffee but this wasn't the place. We paid the bill and left, never to return.
The food was so delicious, I loved everything about this restaurant. It was an experience I recommend to anyone who mentions "where to eat". I still crave for the wonderful goat cheese salad. The service was great; Not hovering and always graciously accommodating. The food was mouth watering, while to entertainment made the experience even better. Decor was a warm cozy feeling, I plan on booking our Christmas party there this year, I can't wait to share this bistro with my staff.
We showed up without a reservation and they accommodated us with very little wait. No problem as we could sit at the bar and have a drink while we waited for our table. We were pleasantly surprised by the live entertainment of Michael Maguire who added a nice atmosphere to the already quaint room.
Our server was very pleasant and the food was outstanding. We will be back again!

menu and food a delight , presentation was only surpassed by the exquisite taste of everything we ordered ,and served by a remarkable server who knew just when to be there. We had a wonderful wine that was suggested , that really complimented the lamb. Ambiance that made you want to come in and stay, relax and enjoy.....can't wait to get back and experience this little Bistro again
